Better as a Bunch

This post has been on my mind to share for ages but seriously the whole video thing kind of stresses me out.  So, instead of a video today, I just thought I would type my thoughts!

Want to know how to boost your business?  One of the key factors is COMMUNITY.  There is a certain synergy that happens when stampers are together.  We can exchange ideas, learn from each other's successes and failures.  We can encourage each other.  We can challenge each other.
In order to experience this synergy, we need to be intentional about finding that healthy stamping community.

Here are some suggestions for you to build your stamping community in order to strengthen your business:

1) Plan to attend team meetings!  They are always on the first Thursday of every month.  Why not block that date off on your calendar now and plan to attend?  You will get business training, make n take samples, technique teaching and meet other stampers.

2) Call a team member up and go for coffee.  Pick a topic to discuss e.g. "the one thing I did that was great for my business was..."

3) Take initiative to share struggles and ask questions of your upline and team members.  Sometimes we might be afraid to share our challenges with other because we worry that we don't look "successful" enough or we are afraid to admit any possible lack of knowledge.  Stepping out of our comfort zone and sharing honestly about what we're experiencing can be a freeing experience and is the first step in being open to learning new ways of doing things and new experiences.

4) Get onto Stampin' Connection.  This is an awesome resource that Stampin' Up! has created for US.  Go onto the discussion forums and find out what others are doing to build their business.  Check out the samples and save the ones you're going to do at your next class, join a swap, go to the team stic group page and post something to encourage the team.

5) if you live too far to attend our team stic meetings, stay in touch on our facebook page, go through some of the old posts on this site, have a phone chat with your upline, find another team that will allow you to attend their team meetings.

6) Attend a Stampin' Up! sponsored event like Convention, Leadership and Regionals.  There is nothing like attending a Stampin' Up! event.  Nuff said.

Real Life Example: About a year ago I was really struggling with balancing my stamping life with other aspects of my life.  I loved stampin' and I had so many class ideas but not enough time to run them all and not enough customers to attend them all.  I felt I was stuck in a rut.  I wanted to continue my business but I didn't want to sacrifice my sanity and my family time and I didn't know how to help my business move forward.  A random conversation with a team member led to my learning about a demonstrator in the states who runs a training business.  One thing led to another and I eventually signed up for this training/coaching service. (https://www.facebook.com/#!/trainingwithrondawade?fref=ts) What a breakthrough!!!!  I learned new ways to run my business that would benefit my family, my income and so much more.  I learned how to better organize myself and my time.  I could go on and on...The point is, if I hadn't taken the time to connect with this downline and be open about learning things from her, I would've missed out.  In fact, maybe I wouldn't even be doing Stampin' Up! right now.  Instead, I am even more passionate about the great things that Stampin' Up! offers and I am able to work from home and I'm going to Fiji with my son in April on Stampin' Up!'s tab.

I encourage you to find ways to connect and learn with the team and other demonstrators.  It's a wonderful opportunity for growth.

I hope you've found some of these ideas helpful.  Let's build the team synergy and strength.  Let's be better individuals because we're better as a bunch!
