I've received a lot of phone calls about what to do when someone wants to buy the starter kit so I thought I'd better do a blog post about it.
When someone wants to buy the starter kit make sure they understand what the price is and what is included. (regularly it is $135 no tax no shipping and they can choose $165 worth of product)
Once they purchase the kit they are a part of the Stampin' Up! demonstrator family and are entitled to those perks/benefits for as long as they stay active.
The products they choose for their kit must be $165 or less. They can not go over.
They will need to provide: SIN, credit card to pay for the kit and the 3 digit security code on the back. It is against policy for you as the demonstrator to pay for the kit so you can not use your credit card even if they pay you cash as Stampin' Up! can not tell that you didn't buy their kit.
If you have a Demonstrator Business Website (DBWS) then you or they can go to your website and click Join the Fun -->Join Now (to ease the confusion for new recruits, it's usually easier if they write down all the info and I do it with them. You can forward them the soft copy of the demonstrator agreement etc)
If you do not have a DBWS then to make sure they get signed up under you, they need to use your unique link. Here is how you find your unique link:
Login to your demonstrator website
Click Stampin' University-->Recruiting. . Then click "sign them up." Then down the page you will see "Personalized IDA link" and there you will see your custom link. This link can be copied and pasted into your browser and then proceed from there.
If you have any problems/questions, call 1800 stamp up. They will be more than happy to help.
***** It is very important the the exact name and address is entered so that it matches the social insurance card information.
